These jeans look great in the ad photos, and the material is certainly good quality. Unfortunately Wrangler seems to have completely forgotten how to cut and fit together the jeans that made them famous (pretty much WORLD-famous, as some Europeans have told me over the years). For the past several years Wrangler has been making waists lower and zippers shorter, and these (as much as I hoped not, by the description) "Texas" jeans (NOT Texas in every right way) are as bad on that score as all the other jeans Wrangler is selling now. These days I usually buy Rustler (owned by Wrangler I think, used to be anyway) instead of the Wrangler brand, because the "cheap" Rustlers are still made with regular-height waist and the traditional longer zipper, as well as very good quality denim. I tried these jeans on and immediately knew I'd have to send them back. Too small, too short in the waist, not comfortable at all. (And the 1% stretch doesn't help at all -- no idea why so many men's clothes are now so stuck on stretch. Clothes either fit well or they don't.) This is for sure the last straw, no more wilI I even think about buying Wrangler-brand blue jeans. I'll stick with the "cheap" Rustlers.
