The fit is slightly smaller than the same size in other Wrangler pants, however they are acceptable. The quality of the material and workmanship appear to be good. I have only owned these for one day, so there may be a completely different perception later on. I wanted cargo work pants to were with a scrub top as part of a nursing uniform, however I do not want scrub pants. I wore one set to work last night and got several compliments from co-workers. At one hospital we are required to wear dark grey, and the color is very close to the color most employees purchase. They look good with the grey scrub tops. Scrub pants are light weight material, not durable, and have no belt loops. They rely on a tie string around the waist to hold them up, and do not perform well in the rigors of a 12 hour shift. I have been buying the regular Wrangler cargo pants from Walmart, however those are jean based pants, and are more casual than the recent purchase which resemble a cross between a jean and a dress pant. None of my supervisors have made any comments, however I feel like I have been pushing the envelope, and that they will eventually tell me to stop wearing the jean type cargo pants. This style may satisfy both myself and management dress code. The cargo pockets are used to carry all sorts of nursing tools, so I actually use these things as they were intended. My retired husband got a keep-him-busy job moving cars for a major car rental company. HR said the uniform was khakis and he thought 'casual dress code' khakis. Well, casual dress code khakis do not hold up to climbing in and out of cars all day and were rapidly reduced to worn, torn and basically mangy scraps. I asked what others were wearing and getting the blank look suggested 'like,,,Dickey's?' And he said 'Yeah, like that.' So with that as my template we ended up trying these. My husband likes them, they are similar to the tactical pants he wore in law enforcement so he is used to stowing gear in the various pockets and the style appeals to him. Obviously, they are far sturdier than the dressier version. He says that they are comfortable and are holding up well. They have a coarser texture and are not permanent press. I wash in cold water in a front load washer. This makes for very little water left in the fabric so just tugging on the legs at the seams and tumbling in a cool dryer has kept them from shrinking for 6 months. Dry with sufficient volume to keep the pants from flattening against the outer rim of the dryer and then hang from the cuffs while still slightly damp to avoid wrinkling. All in all a very successful buy.I have become enamored with cargo pants. The extra leg pockets are nice. This style corrects design deficits in other brands. I carry a sunglasses hard case in the side pocket. Every other brand I have tried the case bangs against my knee every step. This brand the side pocket is 3-4 inches higher. Others have noted that the pockets have been reinforced. Again this is different than the other brands I have purchased. I am not too sure whether the metal snaps on the pockets will last longer than the velcro version on other brands. I havn't worn these long enough. 3-4 washes on velcro tends to make the pockets dog eared. I expect that these will last longer do to heavier material on the pockets and metal clips. I have also seen some of the reviews indicate that they are baggy. This is fine with me since I always need to get the wider legged pants since I do not have thin legs. The biggest complaint that I have is that I need 38x28 not 38x30 so I have to have them shortened at a tailor shop so the cost is an additional $12. This occurs with most pants I purchase so the added cost is expected.I waited until the first washing to write this review. No shrinking, great 30w x 34L perfect fit, incredibly tough/durable, black color I love, more pockets than people should be allowed to have, right side includes a slit with a cap that my iPhone 6s fits perfectly without falling out when I sit yet provides quick easy access, right side pocket is draped with a leather patch cap to clip my Sog onto, wallet/camera fit into left/right double metal snap shut button (not Velcro) cargo pockets without bludging, I still have empty pockets, and therefore the best pants I've ever purchased. When I'm working on my farm they are my work pants. When they come out of the wash they are my dress pants. If a function requires I wear something other than a good wicking top, these pants, and my black feather light Moab ventilator hiking shoes I don't need to go. ?The first thing that I checked right out of the package was the color; true khaki not a grayish offshoot, very good. The fit was spot on, 38X34, as ordered. A couple pair of bargain basement pants that I own have standard pocket material that is the fabric equivalent of tissue paper . Not these pants; the pocket material is plenty sturdy and the lower parts of the standard pockets are reinforced. The flaps on the cargo pockets are designed to stay flat, not curl up on the corners after a wash or two. There are seven belt loops, not five as on some cheapies. The crotch has a separate piece of material sewn in that is apparently designed to prevent seam failure when you bend over to pick up a pecan, or something. Most seams are double stitched. I am very pleased with these pants. By the way, they were made in Mexico.Good stuffThese pants fit and feel great. I really like the slightly higher waist band and slightly extra room in the crotch; room for bending and stooping without binding. Still, the pants do not look baggy. Even though they are classified as work pants, they look good enough to wear around town or to any casual to semi-dress event. There was no noticeable shrinkage after the first wash and no pressing was needed after hanging the pants right from the dryer . I've purchased three of these pants from Amazon and the size is consistent from pant to pant. I don't wear blue jeans anymore because cargo pants tend to be much more comfortable. If I need another pair of pants in the future, I will no doubt get these again.Good quality product, and durable
