I am a carpenter and have been wearing these shorts for years. They are a great product but have a unique design flaw common in most Wrangler pants products. For some strange reason when your waist size expands so does the length of the legs! As I get older [65] I no longer have the waist line I used to have. When I switched from a 36 inch waist to 38 the inseam measurement stays the same but the outseam lengthens by over 1 1/2 inches. Now when I squat or get up from kneeling the hem sticks on my knee cap. I hate shorts that are not "shorts" and like the hemline above my knee cap, 2 inches is perfect. A 10 inch inseam usually provides this. Thes shorts along with several pairs of Wrangler jeans are going to the local seamstress to be shortened. So the shorts themselves are actually pretty nice. comfortable and roomy once you get the right size. I am right between a 30 and 31 waist. Getting pants is sometimes difficult because most pant sizes go from 30 to 32. 32 is way to big. All of my pants are either 30 or 31 depending on the brand and cut. I ordered these shorts in a 31 to be safe. When I got these I tried them on and there was no way i was getting those buttoned. I tried them all just to be sure. I returned and changed for a 32 and they were a little snug, but i cold work with it since I'm sure I will stretch them out. if you're thinking of these, you should go up at least 1 if not 2 waist sizes. This is the only pair of 32 anything that I own.My husband *was* a huge fan of Carhartt and would wear only that brand for jeans/shorts. Carhartt quality is nothing to what it used to be and yet the same price. I bought him a pair of these and he LOVES them. They are lightweight (more so than the previous Carhartt) and are very durable. True fit. He doesn't care... But, I do wish there were more colors to choose from. Have already purchased another pair and plan to purchase more in the future.I work in a warehouse environment and need rugged pair of shorts to withstand the rigors of the job. I had initially bought Wranglers carpenter shorts which are a great value at around $15 but don't holdup over the course of time. I usually went through 4 pairs a year. I bought Riggs shorts due to the thicker denim and overall better construction. So far first pair has lasted me 2 years so I bought a second pair. Over twice the price but well worth it.Very well made with nice detailsbest shorts everThe first one I ordered were way too small. I ordered a 36" waist and they were 34", couldn't ever button them. I ordered the same size and they fit snug but I can wear them.It is worth the price. I like the color, the leather edges pocket and work style material.Perfect fit for the skinny gentsThese are well built shorts. I purchased a different brand last year that just didn’t hold up for day to day. These were a little more expensive but can take the abuse daily summer job site work puts on them. They fit well and hold some basic tools. Highly recommended.Nice shorts. Defiantly work shorts. I find the fix a bit small for a typical 36 waistMy sons wears these to work as a landscaper - says they are extremely durable and loves the leather patch for holding a tape measure. In the hot and humid days we have had this summer they have been much better than pants. These were stiff and, too long to be shorts. If shorts go past the knee they're Capris.
