I bought this for my wife’s 2017 JK. She is moving up to 35s with no lift so she wanted a bumper with more clearance for the bigger tires. She’s not an avid off-roader, but she has been known to tag along on some trail rides. So this bumper shouldn’t be a problem. It isn’t too heavy, and it’s not really great armor. But for looks and wheel clearance, it’s perfect!!It bolted right up in about an hour. There is a little bit of adjustability, so don’t just apply loktite and torque all the bolts without making sure the fitment is just right. I got the 4 middle bolts on and snug before I realized it wasn’t level. So I had to loosen them up and use my rubber persuader to level it out. Then I torqued all the bolts to spec.The packaging was good. Other people complained about receiving their bumpers damaged, we did not. We live in the interior of Alaska, so I was really worried about having to deal a return. The metal isn’t very thick, but it’s a cheap Amazon bumper. If you’re comparing this to a Poison Spyder bumper, you’re going to be disappointed.With that said, I would caution someone who is going to be hitting large rocks and obstacles. The play in adjustability could easily allow the bumper to slide up into a quarter panel. The thin metal will also probably not support the weight of your Jeep, so even if the bolts held the bumper in place it would likely bend up and damage the body of your Jeep. If you’re rock crawling or hitting difficult terrain I would recommend spending a bit more and getting some beefy armor.Overall: 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this for a daily driver/light trail use Jeep!!Great quality and easy to install. For my application I wished it was heavier built.They look great!The front bumper needs more bracing to the frame. I'm afraid if I were to use the winch or the hooks it would bend the bumper because it's just not mounted solid.The back is pretty solid....Update: The seller contacted me about the defect and offered to either replace the bumper or to give me a 50% refund. Because of their willingness to help the situation I am changing the rating from a 1 star to a 3 star. Even though they are willing to compensate for their products defect, it doesn't make the product worthy of 4 or 5 stars. It's still simply a defect in workmanship.The bumper was not right when I took it out of the box. We held it up in place of where it was to go and couldn't figure out why it seemed to look odd on one side. We went ahead and mounted the bumper and stood back to look at it. That's when it became obvious thay it was manufactured with the bend. And it also appears to have been cut wrong. Where that huge bend is, the metal is cut back, away from the Jeep.We mounted the tire in hopes it wouldn't be so obvious. But even with the spare tire mounted the manufacturing error is very obvious. The bumper is not bent. It's simply made with that drop on the driver's side in it. The box was not damaged. The bumper was wrapped very good inside the box. And the paint is not scratched. It's simply made with that huge drop, as seen in the pictures.I tried the contact seller option and there isn't a drop down window for manufacturers defects. I'm hoping to be contacted by them to see what they will do about this issue.Also, the directions are completely wrong when describing which bolts go in which position.We had alot of problems getting this delivered. But was super excited once we finally got it. It was a super easy install and looked great! HOWEVER! We needed to haul 2 pallets on a cargo carrier from my husband's work, home. A short maybe 15 minute drive. By the time we got home the pallets were almost to the ground and the bumper was bent. This bumper looks great but you will not be able to haul ANYTHING! We have a small trailer and now nothing to haul it with until we buy another bumper.This bumper is a great value! I paid les then $100 with my prime membership and a discount! It’s sturdy and looks great! One thing that surprised me was, I rubbed along the top corner of the bumper and a chip of paint came off the corner. I could see rusty metal under the paint and I flaked off a tiny bit more of the loose paint to see more rust! To me, not a big deal considering this is a basic aftermarket bumper and bumpers get bumped anyway over time. I touched it up with some rust preventing primer paint and it will never be noticeable by anyone not looking for it but I do feel it is worth mentioning in my review. Installing it was cumbersome for the fact I installed it alone. I used a jack to hold it in place and noticed it is well balanced. The shackles fit snuggly with shackle isolators. What I also like about this bumper it matches my front aftermarket bumper of a different maker! Overall, I give 5 stars for price and quality!Easy to install, looks niceThe mounting hardware needs to be upgraded so that the bumper is more rigid and does not flex.
