I decided to try these jeans based off of a video by project farms that tested a variety of jeans. They have thigh room and calf room that I haven't found anywhere else! I am no body builder but I do work out and have large legs (about 27" on my thighs and 18 on my calves)They feel like they will last, the material is not thin and seems well made.I bought 40 × 32 (normally I get 38 × 32).I will be buying more!My husband is a farmer. He happened to get a pair of these off a donation pile somewhere. He liked them a lot, so I ordered a second pair for him. He usually wears jeans, but he likes these because they don't get as hot as jeans do when he's working outside in the heat. I might order him few more pairs.Great pair of work pants in good color. Fit was as expected, true to size.I've never owned a pair of Riggs before and I really like them. I was originally going to get the Ranger version but Carpenter were 25% off so I started here, but I wonder if it was worth it since I use cargo pockets often. The material is a bit stiff but it feels very strong. The back pockets are fully lined with Cordura, so no lip to hook onto wallets and full pocket durability. Cordura is just a woven nylon for heavy use, like a rough canvas. The brown leather tape measure clip is only a lip on the edge, not full double sided leather, with the backside being white pocket liner made from ripstop cotton. The front pockets are nice and deep, the back pockets are large enough, the front utility pocket is big but too tight, the tool pocket opening is too small for the hand so don't place screw bits or whatever in the pocket, and the hammer loop is normal. The pants are on the baggy side but the waist is a tight fit, maybe too tight but I can fit without a belt. I'm more of a 31" than 30" but I usually buy 30" as it tends to fit better than 32" do, so my size seems to vary by pant design. The button slot wasn't fully cut on my pants, but the button is now easier to get in and out now that I sliced the hole longer towards where the stitching is. The very bottom joint between the legs has an additional cut section in the design to prevent split tearing, similar to martial arts pants. Loden color is a dark subdued green color, which I thought would be like a pine green but it almost looks dark gray because the hue is so subtle, while the stitching is more of a pine green. Dark gray buttons and brown Cordura and leather go with the Loden green to create a nice mountain woods color palette. All of the stitching on the pants are very durable feeling, extra strong build. The main feature of the pants is the ripstop cotton fabric material itself, and the pants as a whole feel incredibly strong and durable. These pants feel like they will last a long time, but I'll have to wait and see as some reviews claim their pants tore quickly. Despite being made from a stiff and strong material, they feel very comfortable and natural on the skin. Machine wash cold with like colors, only non-chlorine bleach when needed, tumble dry low or line dry. I would avoid fabric softener to retain the strength but dryer sheets are probably fine. For $45.50, I think you're getting good quality pants but I would pay a few dollars more for the Ranger pants which come with cargo pockets and double knee material. My Carpenter pants were 25% off which made the price $33.90, and then I had a $10 off coupon for Amazon through some purchase or whatever, so for me these were more like half-off and paid with a birthday gift card. Now that I own a pair of Riggs Workwear, I can see paying in full for pants like these as I thought the price didn't look worth it at first but I see that they have much higher build quality and material than typical pants. All I can do now is just wait and see how well they truly hold up when taken outdoors. These fit well and are comfortable for workFinally I found the pants I was looking forGreat pants just wish the pockets were bigger.Like Wrangler carpenter jeans but wanted something more durable for work. These seem to fit the bill and will hold up better than the regular ones. For the price these are excellent quality 'work' jeans. They are generously sized, very comfortable and built to last. Indeed, they look good in most situations. As always, my only gripe is the shipping which, once again, was atrocious. However, at least this time they did turn up eventually!I see that Amazon Global started charging for shipping soon after I made this order. I wonder whether this will improve matters as over the last 6 months, 4 of my similar orders have gone awry.Alas, UK customer service for these orders from the USA is effectively non-existent and bordering on the illegal. Remember, your contract of sale is with Amazon UK and the UK Sale of Goods Act applies. Alas, they try to claim otherwise which can constitute an illegal contract. As I said, these are excellent jeans but come with dubious customer care and support. Hence my rating of 4 stars - the jeans themselves deserve better.Update September 24 2020. I have just also purchased the denim version of these work jeans. They are brilliant, a good fit, very strong yet comfortable. Even better, I ordered them Tuesday afternoon and they arrived Thursday morning. Extraordinary!Don't get me wrong, I am very pleased with these jeans. They fit well, are well made and look good too!In particular, I appreciate additional belt loops (front and rear) on the larger waist sizes, the ripstop cotton material and the colour (loden green). However, I am concerned by the poor service offered by Amazon Global. I have made 8 total orders with them this year. Of which, 2 never turned up and this one went 'walkabout' only to eventually turn up unadvertised and soaking wet in a neighbour's garden...So, in that regard, beware. Getting a refund or redress is tortuous. Importantly, don't be bullied and insist on your rights.Love this product but it's a Very tight fit. I'm a comfortable 40waist with all other brands but these are a really tight fit at the waist. I'm not saying go up a size but if your not a comfortable size go up one :) with these. These are the best jeans I've purchased in many a year. They're truly heavy-weight, roomy and triple stitched at all points of stress with capacious pockets. I've been waiting for this style of jean to make a resurgence and here they are at last. Odious as comparisons are, I begin to think that Wrangler USA might have kicked Levis' off my mental pedestal. Wonderful product. I love Riggs Workwear!!The product is dire I have no idea what material they are naff of but its just uncomfortable unmanageable and am extremely bad fitting I could not recommend this product at all
