2003-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ Telescopic Steering Lower Shaft Replacement - Durable Steering Column Extension for Off-Road & Daily Driving

Even though this part said it fit my 06 ram, it didn't. There are 2 different types of gearboxes i guess. One with splines all the way around and one with a one sided flat circle. So after ruining the box, i cant send it back. Should of bought from AutoZoneProduct fits well and is a score for the price. Only issue I have is the mounting system isn’t great for a steering shaft. It uses set screws to hold shaft to the steering shaft splines and stocks. Only issue with that is if these set screws loosen off the shaft will fall off…. Which could be pretty bad obviously. I am going to drill some down holes/ notches in my shaft stocks so the set screws sit in them and are less likely to loosen off and dislodge. Other than that tho you can’t beat the price and it appears to be a decent product for 1/6 the price of a new shaft.
